Saxo-Fest is an opportunity for students in middle or high school to experience a region band clinic structure through saxophone chamber music. Students will learn new music with a few students they might know, but with more students they’ve never met, and will learn to work with each other to prepare a high quality program of music in a short time. Students will receive specialized instruction tailored to improving their saxophone technique, and their music performance skill.

“Get to know you” Auditions

Auditions are a pre-recorded video, and should be submitted by June 1st. Auditions should include 2 scales of the performer’s choice, and a 1-2 minute recording of a classical piece of music of the performers choice. This could include a band placement audition etude, or recent solo. The purpose of the audition material is to help us place students in appropriate ensembles, this is not a barrier for registration. Use the audition video to demonstrate what you know how to do, so we can give you the best Saxo-Fest experience possible!

Refund Information

If you need to cancel, a full refund is available before May 31st. Any cancellations made after May 31st are non-refundable.
